R&D Engineer in the mechatronics department

YOUR ROLE WILL BE TO:

  • Build and activate automation systems and research stands for precise printing of nanomaterials
  • Integrate and activate functional systems in XTPL printer prototypes
  • Conduct research on test stands and document results in the form of reports
  • Search for product improvement solutions (drives, sensors, machine vision, actuators), including cooperation with suppliers
  • Closely cooperate with other XTPL laboratories

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:

  • Higher technical education in mechatronics (preferred educational background: Electronics, Automation and Robotics, Mechatronics or a related field)
  • Minimum 2-year professional experience in development of products integrating electronics, mechanics and automation systems
  • Ability to construct and launch mechatronic systems based on precision drives, sensors and vision systems
  • Knowledge of issues related to the control of mechanical and pneumatic devices and the fundamentals of programming microcontrollers
  • Manual skills, ability to operate workshop tools and to solder
  • Working knowledge of English (B2)
  • Ability of concise presentation of work results
  • Ability of analytical thinking, creative problem-solving and good work organization
  • Teamwork skills

ADDITIONAL ASSETS:

  • Ability to use CAD tools
  • Basic knowledge of metrology and optics
  • Knowledge of microsystems and nanotechnology
