EIT’s recognition for XTPL

Reading time: 2 min

The European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT), the key European institution supporting innovation, selected 12 most promising start-ups in Europe and invited them to Berlin for an international meeting with the prestigious media representatives. For the first time ever, a Polish company received that recognition.

The selection of companies invited to the Berlin meeting was not at all random. The European Institute of Innovation & Technology chose the best start-ups from among those that had taken part in its acceleration programmes. The participation in such a programme involves a complex qualification process and requires great commitment as well as effective presentation of the developed technology along with its benefits.

XTPL is the first Polish company to be invited to this type of meeting organised by the European Institute of Innovation & Technology.

In Berlin, XTPL had the opportunity to present its invention to journalists from all around Europe. They included contributors of Computer Weekly, Le Soir, La Stampy, Forbes, BBC, Deutsche Welle and TOK FM among others. Representatives of XTPL had the chance to talk individually with all the journalists attending the meeting.

It was an extremely important event for us, especially as a great opportunity to attract the attention of the European media and present our company to a wide audience in the Old Continent. XTPL’s technology can be used for photovoltaic panels as well as displays. This means that each and every user of mobile devices can actually benefit from it. We are really happy to talk about how our invention may improve the comfort of using smartphones or tablets, says Filip Granek, PhD, CEO at XTPL.

The meeting was held on 22–23 November 2016.

The European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) was established in 2008 at the initiative of the European Union with the goal to create the European counterpart of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The Governing Board of the EIT is based in Budapest.
