Method of forming an electrically conductive feature traversing a microscopic step and related apparatus

Printing over a step is an innovative additive manufacturing technique that allows for the creation of incredibly fine structures with the CL85 silver paste non-flat surfaces. As a result of using this method, you can effortlessly deposit material in a single pass, even on complex topographies.

Whether one is a beginner or an expert, prototyping with a DPS system is quick and straightforward. It is needed simply to adjust the pressure, printhead speed, and movement direction to achieve your desired outcome. The printhead can even dispense materials on vertical surfaces, making it ideal for isolating areas with insulators like SU-8 50.

A step printing facilitates a production of conductive traces for microLED displays, data storage devices, or can be used in any other application where a conductive connection has to be fabricated on a non-flat substrate. The range of line width in which the line can be deposited can fit even within a couple of microns.
