XTPL among the leading young companies supporting the advanced and ground-breaking approach to climate change

XTPL was one of 15 companies in the world and the only Polish participant to present its technology at the Climate Innovation Summit in Frankfurt. The meeting was attended by over 300 leading representatives of the public sector, industry and major research institutions who discussed international collaboration aimed at developing low emission economy and sustainable growth.

The XTPL technology which may be used in the production of photovoltaic panels and displays with the benefit of increased efficiency has already attracted the attention of the largest European climate change association during the Polish edition of the Climate-KIC Accelerator Programme. As the winner, XTPL got the opportunity to present its technology in Frankfurt and meet the representatives of the major investment funds in Europe.

The meeting in Frankfurt was a great opportunity for us to talk with the European Union representatives responsible for issues related to climate change. These were really fruitful conversations. We met Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change that received the Noble Peace Prize in 2007. We could listen to representatives of such organizations as AXA Group or BP Ventures. It was a chance for us to spread the information about the XTPL technology in an international environment as well as to contribute to the European debate on the future climate of our continent and of the entire globe, says Sebastian Młodziński, Chairman of the Board at XTPL SA.

One result of these talks was the invitation of XTPL to Berlin for the “Start-Up Europe” meeting with journalists organized by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). In Berlin, selected companies had the opportunity to speak about their technologies to representatives of the leading European media.

Each meeting of this kind allows us to make important contacts, which then leads to new talks about the XTPL technology in the international setting. Today, we are among leading young companies in Europe that develop technologies supporting the advanced and ground-breaking approach to climate change. It is a great honour for us, adds Sebastian Młodziński.

The Berlin meeting took place on 22-23 November.
